We aim to achieve this through mass peaceful protest that unites us as a powerful voice to demand:

  • Religion and politics, religion should never enter into political debate, nor should laws be made to protect bigots, the religious discrimination bill should to be torn up immediately.

  • Action on Climate Change. Australia is burning but our Government remain ineffective on addressing the underlying cause of these bushfires. We demand immediate action to address concerns from emergency services simultaneously with long term action on climate change.

  • Cannabis was legalised for medical use in Australia in 2016, We demand an immediate moratorium on arrests for personal use; and full legalisation of cannabis for all its uses.

  • Action on Australia’s failing human rights obligations. We are fed up with human rights abuses being carried out in our name. It is un Australian and does not represent our culturally diverse community.

  • A voice for First Nations People. For too long we have celebrated our colonial history and ignored the many issues facing First Nations People. Indigenous culture should be celebrated, and the voice of the Indigenous Community should be heard!

  • Raise the Rate! Too many Australians are facing unemployment and the rate of Newstart is a barrier to gaining employment.

  • Action to address increasing inequality in our communities. Poverty should not be an accepted standard for modern Australia, and we call on Government to close the gap between the rich and the poor. There needs to be equitable access to opportunity and adequate support provided to those that need it the most.

  • Truth in Political advertising and a diverse media. Australia’s media ownership concentration is one of the highest in the world. Rather than addressing this blight on our democracy, our government has enabled further concentration of the fourth estate through legislation and use this to their advantage to twist facts in political advertising.

  • We demand a federal ICAC be formed immediately with retrospective investigations and strong powers to take criminal action against corruption

  • Australian police deal with domestic violence every two minutes, on average, one woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner. https://www.whiteribbon.org.au/ has had to close its doors due to lack of funding we demand action.

  • Penalty Rates restored Cutting penalty rates was supposed to create jobs. It hasn’t, we demand they be restored as people are suffering.
